Tom McKibbin secures his maiden victory on the DP World Tour stage at the Porsche European Open.
We are delighted to announce that Tom McKibbin has secured his first DP World Tour victory at the Porsche European Open in Hamburg. Tom is now the youngest Northern Irish winner on the DP World Tour since his friend and fellow Holywood native, Rory McIlroy won the Dubai Desert Classic in 2009.
Tom kept his composure throughout the tournament, starting the day in a six-way tie for the lead. With birdies at the fourth, seventh and ninth holes, Tom finished in style with an impressive iron shot into the green from the rough to cruise to a two shot victory over the rest of the pack.
The win has moved him up to a career best 162nd in the official world rankings and also secures his tour membership into 2025.
We are so proud of Tom and know this is the just the beginnings of a career where many trophies will be lifted.
