Team JMC is thrilled to announce that Tom McKibbin officially joins Team TaylorMade as he begins the next phase of his career.
Tom has recorded a phenomenal junior, and amateur golf career, resulting in significant tournament wins on both sides of the Atlantic. These include the Junior Honda Classic, Junior Invitational at Sage Valley, and the Peter McEvoy Trophy. Tom is a former Irish International and has also represented GB&I twice at the Jacques Leglise Trophy. McKibbin made his professional debut at the European Tour’s Tenerife Open and will play across the Challenge Tour and European Tour for the 2021 season.
“I’m excited to join Team TaylorMade as I begin my journey as a professional golfer. TaylorMade has played a huge part in my amateur career, and I’m thrilled to be part of the family alongside so many of the world’s best. Having the support of everyone at TaylorMade to ensure I have the best equipment for me in the bag will be fun; their products, expertise and service are unrivalled in the game. Let the journey begin.” – Tom McKibbin, Tour Professional
The Belfast native has been tipped as a hot prospect since a very young age and comes from Holywood Golf Club – the same club as Rory McIlroy, who has formed a close bond with the teenager over the years and acts as a mentor for him.
“To identify and develop the future of elite golfers who go on to choose TaylorMade for performance is a key part of our strategy. A superb golfer already and truly only getting started, TaylorMade are very proud to complete the signing of Tom Mckibbin.” – Adrian Rietveld – Senior Manager – Tour | Global Sports Marketing – TaylorMade Golf Company
